About Teneriffe
Teneriffe is Brisbane's newest suburb!
After years of public consulatation, in February 2010 Teneriffe finally became a suburb. The occasion
was celebrated with the launch of the inaugural Teneriffe Festival.
Before this time, the area was officially part of Newstead, eventhough all of Brisbane referred to the area as Teneriffe. Situated on the Brisbane river between New Farm and Newstead, Teneriffe is one of Brisbane's trendiest suburbs, boasting boutique dining experiences, upmarket residential apartments and a world class gymnasium, Bodywize.
Teneriffe is just a short walk to the nightclub precinct of Fortitude Valley and Brisbane's Chinatown. The suburb is also the home of Stella Day Spa, the only Japanese day spa in the area.
