 From beginner to advanced - practice a form of Yoga that suits you. Your yoga instructor will work to ensure you are challenging your body safely. Yoga emphasises flexibility, mobility, body awareness and breathing. Lengthen and strengthen your whole body, developing upper body and strengthening abdominals in a relaxing environment. At Bodywize we practice two types of yoga-

Hatha Yoga- A practice that involves the control of the breath. A medium paced, holistic yoga class with emphasis on awareness, alignment and balance. Simple breathing techniques
( pranayama ) are included in the practice and the class finishes with a guided deep relaxation. Suitable for everyone.

Many practitioners emphasise the therapeutic value of Hatha Yoga, for if practiced sensibly it leads to increased physical well-being. Spiritual growth is helped when the body is in good condition

Ashtanga Yoga- This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, strength, endurance and flexibility while clearing the body of accumulated toxins and  calming the mind.
